wrapped giftYour parking business wouldn't be the success it is without your customers. This holiday season, take the time to show them how much you appreciate them. Here are seven ways to thank your customers.

1. HOST AN EVENT.

Why not host a special luncheon, dinner or party for your parking businesses’ best clients? If holding a separate event isn’t practical, invite your best clients to your company holiday party.

2. SEND A PERSONAL NOTE OR LETTER.

Take the time to put in your own words what your best parking clients mean to you. They will appreciate the thought— and the fact you took the time and eff ort to write and mail an actual letter.

3. SEND A GIFT.

Make sure your gift s are thoughtful and relevant to clients’ interests. Focus on what the customer will appreciate, not on marketing your business through promotional products covered with logos.

4. GIVE THEM SOMETHING FREE.

Give your best clients a holiday discount off that months’ invoice. If you have customers with monthly or annual parking passes, give them a discount on next year’s renewal.

"A service upgrade at no charge is a great way to surprise and delight customers for the holidays."

5. SURPRISE THEM WITH A SERVICE UPGRADE.

While you’ll probably want to limit it to your best clients, a service upgrade at no charge is a great way to surprise and delight customers for the holidays. The upgrade can serve as a “trial subscription”—once that time period ends, the client may be willing to pay for the upgrade going forward.

6. TAKE THEM TO LUNCH.

Nothing makes a customer feel special like a one-on-one lunch with you. Be sure to keep the conversation focused on their needs. Don’t try to sell them on additional services, but do tuck away the insights you gain for future use.

7. GIVE THE GIFT OF EXPERIENCE.

Show how well you know your clients by giving them tickets to an event, such as a baseball game, opera, food festival or whatever hobbies they are interested in.
