Are you prepared? From weather-related issues to active shooters in the workplace, emergencies can affect parking facilities and operations at any time. It is critical that parking managers be able to respond to these emergencies diligently, professionally, and effectively to manage risk, safeguard employees and patrons, and protect business assets.
In this half-day certificate course learn the steps you need to take now to prepare for an emergency situation. This course will examine different types of emergencies, from natural to man-made, and outline the building blocks of an emergency response plan and how to train staff in disaster and emergency procedures.

The course is targeted at parking managers, enforcement officers, and supervisory level employees in commercial, municipal, health care, airport and other parking operations.
Matthew Hulme, CPP, NREMT
City of Cincinnati Parking Division
The course facilitator is Matthew Hulme, CPP, NREMT. He is currently the Assistant Parking Services Supervisor for the City of Cincinnati’s Parking Division.
His previous experience includes service as a firefighter, Emergency Medical Technician, and 9-1-1 dispatcher. Matthew also has more than 15 years of service in the US Army Reserve, with deployments to both Iraq and Afghanistan as a combat medic.
Matthew holds a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of Cincinnati, earned his CPP credential in 2016, and has been a Nationally Registered EMT (NREMT) since 2004. Matthew has taught similar emergency preparedness courses for NPA at the 2016 NPA Convention and the CPP summit, and has taught medical emergency response courses in the military since 2010.
