All new and current members of NPA must agree to a Code of Ethics developed by the Board of Directors with the assistance of NPA's legal counsel.

The National Parking Association (NPA) Member Code of Ethics

The National Parking Association is committed to ethical conduct and honoring its core values of integrity, leadership, commitment, collaboration, innovation and community service.

This NPA Code of Ethics applies to NPA members. The Code contains general principles for ethical behavior and embodies aspirational goals that our members strive to uphold. Ethical conduct, honesty and integrity are important to the parking industry as members are part of the daily lives of fellow parking professionals, clients, citizens, customers, owners and developers.

Intent: The intent of the Code of Ethics is to set goals for ethical behavior for our members in the parking industry.

Competition: NPA supports the free enterprise system and believes that free market competition is an important and natural part of a healthy economy.

NPA Member Statement of Core Values:: This statement represents the core values of the National Parking Association and its members in the parking industry that they represent. These values are the cornerstones of the NPA Code of Ethics and set goals for behavior.

Integrity: We strive to adhere to the highest standards of honesty and integrity and to deal fairly with employees, competitors, peers, suppliers, the media and the public. We comply with all applicable antitrust laws and any other applicable laws, policies or rules of NPA that prohibit restraint of trade.

Leadership: We strive to actively lead the industry with knowledge sharing, networking and proposed best practices to advance the profession.

Commitment: We faithfully fulfill our professional obligations to the best of our abilities at all times.

Collaboration: We collaborate with peers in the industry to advance industry best practices, knowledge and skill for the betterment of parking management and operations.

Innovation: We proactively seek out, develop and share best practices, research, knowledge and expertise to advance the profession and its value to the public.

Community Service: We make the community a better place through community service for causes we select and through support of the Parking Industry Institute charity for educational scholarships and research.
