Whale Watching Excursion

Whale WatchingJanuary to March are prime whale watching season in Los Cabos. Humpback whales and grey whales visit the area from December to April. Whales migrate from their Artic feeding grounds to the warm waters of the Sea of Cortez. In February, baby whales can often be seen. Optional social event. Additional fee.

Take an exciting boat trip along the Cabos coastline and see majestic whales, adorable sealions and other sea creature native to this region. Grey and Humpback whale travel close to this coastline yearly (from January to March) and stay for several months, offering up a magnificent display just offshore.

You will travel along the coast, cruise by Cabo’s famous landmarks, Land’s End and the Arch, as well visit Lowe's beach and the local sealion colony. Bring a camera and capture these special creatures and the stunning coastline.

Tour includes pick up from hotel, transfer to a private boat and return to the hotel and lunch at a nearby local restaurant.
Fee: $175 per person

Prior to joining Clutch he was President US Operations at Cardytics Inc where he was responsible for strategy, product management, sales, and account management for 1500+ financial institution customers.

He was Vice President of Strategic Accounts for Fiserv, a leading online banking and core bank processing vendor. During his seven years, John led a business unit and played a key role in strategy formulation for the online banking and bill pay businesses.

John has been a consultant at McKinsey & Co. and a sales representative with General Electric. He began his career as an officer in the U.S. Navy onboard a nuclear submarine. He holds a BS in Physics from Tulane University and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business.

Mr. Damus has completed more than one billion dollars in real estate transactions and is a member of both the California and Pennsylvania State Bars.

He received his undergraduate and MBA degrees from the University of Southern California and his law degree from Vanderbilt University.

David serves on several Board of Directors, including The National Parking Association, Vanderbilt University Law School, Board of Advisors, Campbell Hall School (Studio City, CA) and Notre Dame High School.

Steve Hernandez joined Parkopedia in June 2018 as Vice President of Parking, North America. At Parkopedia, Steve works closely with municipalities, parking operators and complementary technology partners to help facilitate a seamless parking experience within connected automobiles.

Steve is a 17-year parking industry veteran and has worked extensively with dozens of cities across the country to implement leading technologies and best practices. Prior to joining Parkopedia, he served as a Vice President at SP+ where he was responsible for the growth and development of SP+ Municipal Services.

Steve has also served on the MSTPA Board since March 2016, and is an active International Parking Institute member, having previously served on the IPI Technology Committee, co-chaired the Conference Program Task Force and is an active member of the Mobility Task Force. Steve earned his CAPP in 2012.

Ryan has also played a significant role in the expansion of Premier’s technological advancements and has spearheaded the efforts of Premier’s 24/7 Call Center Premier Live 365 and Premier Parking Data Analytics Powered by Smarking.

Ryan’s leadership, innovative management style, and reputation in the parking industry led him to be selected as part of the National Parking Association’s 40 Under 40 2016 class of young professionals and up-and-coming leaders in the parking industry.  Today, as CEO, Ryan Hunt is focused on propelling Premier’s growth through strategic, aggressive initiatives and enhancing the culture that makes Premier such a special company.

Born and raised in Nashville, Ryan Hunt graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theological Studies and a minor in Business Administration from Lipscomb University. He is currently residing in Nashville, TN with his wife and their two daughters.

Ryan is a member of the Urban Land Institute, BOMA, National Parking Association, and the Real Estate Council of Austin. In his spare time, Ryan serves an essential role in his church and community ministry, assisting people with problems of substance abuse.

Mary Smith is widely acknowledged as one of the leading parking planners and functional designers in the world and is generally considered the parking industry’s “go to” person on vehicle sizes and parking dimensions, parking under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and more recently compliance with the Manual On Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).

She recently celebrated her 40th anniversary with Walker and has been actively involved in all phases of parking planning and design for parking projects throughout the world. She has consulted on projects in Abu Dhabi, China, Dubai, Egypt, Indonesia, Korea, Kuwait, Malaysia, Qatar, Russia, and Turkey. Her particular areas of expertise are pedestrian and vehicular circulation, wayfinding and flow capacity in mega-structures, and the integration of parking management, operations and functional design.

She is a member of NPA’s Parking Consultants Council.

Upon arrival at the WLF, donors will be given their “Style Number.” This style number will determine whether a donor has first choice, second choice, etc. of the style-wear to take home. Good Luck!

During the PII reception, you can enjoy cocktails and conversations with your peers while viewing the display of donated items.

After dinner, donors make their choices in style number order – first to donate; first to choose, but everyone goes home a winner.
