Todd Graham is a Managing Director of Cantor Fitzgerald & Company and specializes in infrastructure and real estate finance assignments. Prior to joining Cantor, he was a Managing Director with MHT Partners, a middle market investment bank based in Dallas where he led the firm’s infrastructure, energy, and industrial investment banking practice and opened their Houston office.

Prior to MHT Partners, he was a co-founder and principal of First/Third Capital Partners, LLC, a private equity investment firm based in Houston, Texas. Todd previously worked in corporate finance at Morgan Keegan and began his career at Stifel Nicolaus and Merrill Lynch.

Todd, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, is a graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, with both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Business Administration Degree.

Prior to co-founding Metropolis, Mr. Israel was Vice President and General Manager at INRIX, the leading global traffic intelligence provider, delivering smart technology, and data analytics to help improve urban mobility. INRIX is at the forefront of connecting cars to smarter cities in more than 60 countries around the world. The company leverages big data analytics to reduce the individual, economic and environmental toll of traffic congestion.

As the General Manager of an enterprise division, and as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, Mr. Israel oversaw five departments (Data Science, Engineering, Product, Marketing and BD). In 2016, Mr. Israel was responsible for $7+ Million revenue product line with continuous 100% YoY growth. Mr. Israel closed business development deals with Daimler, Waze, Google, Bing, Audi, and BMW, amongst others.

In 2009, Mr. Israel co-founded ParkMe, to facilitate a paradigm shift within navigation. Between 2009 and 2015 ParkMe grew to become the world's most comprehensive parking database, including more than 29 million spaces in 100,000+ worldwide locations, 4,000 cities, and 64 countries. Mr. Israel raised $9.4 Million+ in Venture Capital from top tier firms and facilitated ParkMe’s corporate development strategy, leading to ParkMe’s acquisition by INRIX in 2015. Mr. Israel managed Product, Marketing, Business Development and Engineering departments. ParkMe acquired millions of users, as an “Apple Store Ranked: Top 5 U.S. Navigation Application”.

Mr. Israel serves on the Board of Directors of Defy Ventures, the leading U.S. anti-recidivism organization.

John Johnson co-founded TSG and has over 25 years of investment banking experience. John covers the Industrial Growth & Business Services sectors with a focus on areas such as automotive parts and equipment, metals, transportation and logistics, equipment rental, staffing and professional service companies.

Prior to TSG, John was a Managing Director and co-founder of the West Coast Corporate Finance Group of Banc of America Securities in Los Angeles. John joined Banc of America Securities (also known at various times as Banc of America Robertson Stephens and NationsBanc Montgomery Securities) in 1984. Between 1984 and 1989, he specialized in technology sector company coverage. He joined the Asset Based Financing Group in 1989 and focused on leveraged buyouts and leveraged finance, and ultimately became a Group Head. In 1994, he joined the Corporate Finance team in San Francisco and led the Industrial Technology and Business Services sector practices.

John co-founded a public rental services company, General Finance Corporation (GFN), as Chief Operating Officer in 2005. GFN completed and integrated 14 acquisitions totaling nearly $400 million under his direction.

Matthew Johnson-Roberson is Associate Professor of Engineering in the Department of Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering at the University of Michigan. He also has a Joint Appointment with the Computer Science and Engineering Department. He received a Ph.D. from the University of Sydney in 2010. There he worked on Autonomous Underwater Vehicles for long-term environmental monitoring.

Upon joining the University of Michigan faculty in 2013, he created the DROP (Deep Robot Optical Perception) Lab, which researches 3D reconstruction, segmentation, data mining, and visualization. He has held prior postdoctoral appointments with the Centre for Autonomous Systems – CAS at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and the Australian Centre for Field Robotics at the University of Sydney. He is a recipient of the NSF CAREER award (2015).

Cal Lankton is a twenty-year veteran of technology and energy related start-ups and established companies. He is currently Vice President of Infrastructure Operations at Lyft where he is responsible for developing all aspects of Lyft's non-office real estate and physical operations. Prior to joining Lyft, Cal was Vice President, Energy Sales and Operations at Tesla where he led the development of Tesla’s charging network and Energy business. He has also enjoyed stints at ABB as their Director, EV Charging Infrastructure as well as with PowerAdvocate, the leading provider of market intelligence and risk management solutions to the energy industry.

Cal is a former US Navy submarine officer and a graduate of MIT.

Bruce Schaller, Principal of Schaller Consulting, is a widely recognized expert in new mobility and for-hire services, public transit and urban traffic. He is the author of widely-cited reports assessing how new services such as Uber and Lyft have improved mobility and raised concerns about their impacts on traffic and transit in U.S. cities and developing prescriptions for public policy.

Mr. Schaller has consulted to government, for-profit and non-profit organizations throughout North America. Most recently, he served as Deputy Commissioner for Traffic and Planning at the New York City Department of Transportation, where he led the agency's widely-recognized innovations in street design, traffic management, parking policy, bus rapid transit and performance measurement. He also led NYCDOT's efforts on congestion pricing in 2007-08.

Mr. Schaller has been called "a prominent transportation expert" (New York Times), "a widely acknowledged expert" on issues related to taxis, Uber and Lyft (Politico) and a "nationally recognized expert” on for-hire transportation issues (Washington Post). Mr. Schaller has published extensively in peer-reviewed academic journals including Transport Policy, Transportation and the Journal of Public Transportation.

Maria Streeby is a seasoned hotel executive with over 30 years’ experience in hotel operations, convention and events planning. She is currently Vice President, Guest Experience, Openings & Transitions at San Francisco-based Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants where she manages the hotel’s aggressive development program as well as the hotel’s innovative approach to guest service and experience. Maria began her career at Westin / Starwood Hotels before joining Promus / Hilton Hotels and then Accenture.

She is a graduate of the University of Denver and lives in the San Francisco Bay area.

Ram Vasudevan is an assistant professor in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan with appointments in the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute and the University of Michigan's Robotics Program. He received a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences and an Honors Degree in Physics in May 2006, an MS degree in Electrical Engineering in May 2009, and a PhD in Electrical Engineering in December 2012 all from the University of California, Berkeley. Subsequently, he worked as a postdoctoral associate in the Locomotion Group at MIT from 2012 till 2014 before joining the University of Michigan in 2015. He is a recipient of an NSF CAREER Award and ONR Young Investigator Award.

Participation is easy:

  1. Make your $500 contribution to PII. You can add it to your WLF registration or donate here.

  2. Donate your shades. (Don’t forget to tell us your "behind the shades" story, it will be on display along with your shades)

  3. Bring the shades with you to the WLF.

  4. Give them to the NPA staff at the WLF registration desk.
